It's working out rather well using the
Koigu for my
Cabletini Socks. I was a bit worried that the cable pattern would not show up too well given the variations of color in the yarn. As it turns out there was no need for the excess worry...the colors are subtle and the pattern is very noticeable. Yeah, no changes in yarn or pattern!

Since the Koigu has a mere 175 yards per skein I think that these socks are going to be somewhat short...unless I use something left over in the stash for the cuffs.
I wonder why I didn't decide to do this before I knit the toe and heel?
